What does it mean to take the name of the LORD in vain? What does it mean to keep the Sabbath? These questions are considered in our study of the Ten Commandments. 

This sermon explores Exodus 20:1–6 and the beginning of the Ten Commandments, explaining how God’s law reflects His holy character and saving work and how grace relates to obedience.It calls listeners to recognize and repent of modern idolatry—trusting money, success, or self—and to center true worship on Christ, who reveals the living God.

As Christians, there is ultimately only one rule that God requires of us. It consists in two parts: loving God and loving others. In this series, we learn what our relationship to the law of God is in light of what Jesus has done. We also consider how the ten commandments give us divine rules for living the Christian life.
